Pink and Purple Makeup Tutorial

I filmed a tutorial on this look a couple of weeks ago. I had so many problems with it and I had to re-record the first 3/4 because the video wouldn't open on my computer, then youtube wouldn't let me upload it!
I can't change the thumbnail and it looks a bit weird but I'm just happy that it's up!

May Favorites

Monthly favorites are one of my favorite blog posts to read and videos to watch so I thought I would start my own for May. I haven't really been wearing much make up lately but doing this post has motivated me to get back into it!

MAC Free To Be Eyeshadow
When I go through a coral phase (this seems to happen quite often) this is the first product I reach for. I was crazy about this color when I first saw swatches of it when it was coming out with the Give Me Liberty Of London Collection, but I didn't end up picking it up until a few months later when I was in Sydney. I am really glad that I did because it's been one of my favorite eyeshadows ever since I bought it.

Spring Inspired - Green Eyes and Pink Lips

So even though its Autumn here in New Zealand I've been on a real spring kick lately! It never really feels like Autumn for me because in the area that I live in we don't really have any deciduous trees so they're green all year round.

Yellow and Orange Glitter! - Lion Costume Look

Hey everyone!
I've been meaning to post this for a while but I've been so busy I completely forgot about it! This is from a costume party and I went dressed as a lion.

Purple and Blue Look

Hey everyone!
First of all I want to apologize for not posting much anymore. I've been going through a lot of personal and family issues the main one being that my Grandma was diagnosed with advanced cancer and isn't expected to live much longer. I have been rarely wearing much make up lately but I'm really trying to get back into the swing of things because it really helps to get my mind off everything. I hope you all will understand :)

I haven't been feeling like going out much but on Saturday I made myself go to the Roller Derby because I knew I would enjoy it and it was a great distraction so this is the look I wore for it. I literally had no time to get ready so I just chucked something together really quick.

Sugarpill Guy Fawkes Look

This is the look I wore to go and see the fireworks display in the city. I wanted something really bright (not that anybody could see of course because it was dark) and I wanted to use the latest Sugarpill Palette I bought.

Late last month Sugarpill were offering Monster palettes as a Halloween special. They were factory second palettes that were 40% off and I was lucky enough to snag a Burning Heart palette. I actually only ended up using the orange (Flamepoint) and the yellow (Buttercupcake) from the palette in this look.

She Who Dares

I wanted to do something green to go and see Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D and this is what I came up with. I am absolutely in love with the MAC She Who Dares Mineralize Eyeshadow from the Venomous Villains collection, its so gorgeous! My camera wasn't picking up the pretty sparkles so the pictures do not do it justice!

IMATS Sydney Part Two

Next up is Make Up For Ever. They didn't have the whole range of products so I ended up only picking up 5 things. I got the HD Blush in #13, the Aqua Creams in #3, #6, #19 and the HD Microfinish Powder (not pictured).

The Aqua Creams are absolutely wonderful as eyeshadow bases. They do not move or crease which is something I was really worried about. I wore the #3 silver from 7am till 10pm and it still looked exactly the same as when I first put it on in the morning! I also used #6 fresh pink as a blush and it didn't fade at all. I will definitely be purchasing more asap!

The HD Blush was great as well, although it does have a scent that you can definitely smell when applying it. It wasn't unpleasant to me at all in fact I loved it but I can see other people hating it. I'll be picking up more of those as well.
